Season 2022

Men's team Division 2 Saturday:
Skerries first team who play in Division 2 of the Bowling League of Ireland (BLI) *finished in a very creditable 4th position with 67 points in a ten team league.
After a tough set of opening fixtures the team finished very strongly to move up the table to fourth,
Record 2022: Played18 Won 9 Drew 0 Lost 9 .

Skerries had a team in Division 2 of the Veteran's League:
This team performed well to reach 4th place in a ten team league.
Record: Played 18 Won 11 Drew 0 Lost 7.

Skerries had a team in Division 4 of the Veteran's League
This team had a great season and won the league.( a ten team league).
Record: Played 18 Won 14 Drew 1 Lost 3.
The team was presented with the inaugural Jim Bradshaw Cup at a presentation in CYM Bowling Club and have been promoted to Division 3.

IBA Cup - Skerries Division 2 Saturday team were drawn away to Ballycastle Bowling Club in County Antrim in the first round of the
IBA (Irish Bowling Association) Intermediate Cup. Ballycastle made home advantage count and won this tie to progress to the next round.

Congratulations to Pat Taaffe who was beaten finalist in the Champion of Champions tournament in Dun Laoghaire. Andy Martin, as the club's Men's singles winner, will represent Skerries this year.

Well done to Owen Johnston who was beaten finalist in the BLI Railway Union under-25 championship.

*BLI will be in future be known as the ILBA(Irish Lawn Bowling Association) after the recent amalgamation of the Men's and Ladies Bowling associations ..
